Monday Arrival


MONDAY – Jerusalem
Upon arrival to airport meet our representative and transfer to hotel in Jerusalem for an overnight.


TUESDAY – Jerusalem – sightseeing of the new city
Start the day with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the top of Mt’ of Olives. On to the Garden of Gethsemane and Church of the Agony. Continue to Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls, then a visit to the beautifully renovated Model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the time of the Second Temple. Continue to Yad Vashem (the memorial to the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust. Afternoon visit to the picturesque village of Ein Karem, the birth place of John the Baptist. Return to the Hotel.

 

WEDNESDAY – Jerusalem – Old City – Bethlehem*
Walk through one of the Gates to the walled Old City: the renewed Jewish Quarter; the Western Wall, the Temple area; the colorful bazaars; Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Drive to Mt’ Zion and visit the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. Afternoon continue to Bethlehem* to visit the Church of the Nativity and a view of the shepherds fields. Return to Jerusalem for overnight.

 

THURSDAY – Beit Shean – Nazareth – Galilee
Leave Jerusalem, and drive north via Jericho*, the oldest city in the world. Then via the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean. Visit the excavations of this beautiful Roman City. Proceed to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation & Mary’s Well. On to Safed, city of the Kabala, for a walk through the mystic alleys and the artists’ colony. Drive to Kibbutz Hotel for overnight.

 

FRIDAY – Golan Heights and around the Sea of Galilee
Drive to the Golan Heights. See the former Syrian fortifications, and the Druze villages. Via Banias, source of the Jordan River, drive to the shores of the Sea of Galilee, to Capernaum. Visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue and Peter's House. Visit Tabgha, where the miracle of the Fish & Bread took place and Mt Beatitudes. After a short tour of Tiberias the old center of Jewish learning, Return to the Kibbutz hotel for overnight.

 

SATURDAY – Acre – Haifa – Tel Aviv
After Breakfast drive west to Acre for a visit of the old, famous Crusader stronghold and medieval fortifications. Continue to Haifa, sightseeing tour of Haifa, including the Bahai Shrine, Persian Garden and Mount Carmel for a panoramic view of the city. Proceed southwards to Caesarea to visit the Roman Theater and the Crusader fortress. Continue to Tel Aviv–Jaffa for a short city tour and to hotel for overnight.


SUNDAY
Day at leisure in Tel Aviv, or an optional tour to the Dead Sea.

 

MONDAY
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for departure.

Thursday arrival

 

Thursday – Tel Aviv
Beginning of your journey in the Holy Land. Upon arrival meet & greet and transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv.

 

Friday – Tel Aviv / Sea of Galilee / Tiberias
After breakfast we'll drive for a short visit of the city of Jaffa, enjoy a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old town. We we'll pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hill top. Then we drive up north along the coast to the ancient ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honor of Augustus Caesar. From there we go on to visit Megiddo where the book of Revelation mentions a great battle at the place called "Armageddon". It is an ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia. After exploring the ancient ruins we'll drive toward the Sea of Galilee, arrive at Tiberias and check–in to your hotel.

 

Saturday – Sea of Galilee
Start the day from historic Tiberias, to Capernaum, the center of Jesus ministry. Tabgha, just north of Tiberias, is the site of Christ’s miracle of feeding the 5,000 and the Church of Multiplication with its famous mosaic. We drive on to the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea, where Jesus preached the “Sermon on the Mount” and it is believed that Jesus picked his 12 apostles. We'll ascend to the Golan Heights to view the panoramic view of the peaks of Mt. Hermon and the rugged plateau of the Golan, and beneath it the green pastoral Hulah Valley. Return to Tiberias for another lovely night in town.

 

Sunday – Sea of Galilee / Jordan River / Jerusalem
This morning we travel to Cana to visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine. We proceed to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood, and the Church of Annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary. You’ll also see Mary’s Well and Joseph’s Church. Continue through the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean with its recently excavated amphitheater Visit the excavations of this beautiful preserved Roman City which was destroyed in an earthquake and then onward to Jerusalem, where you check–in to your choice of hotel.

 

Monday – Dead Sea & Masada
Today drive to the lowest place on Earth, the Dead Sea. Start at Qumran, the site the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by accident by a shepherd. The Dead Sea Scrolls are the most ancient biblical writings known. Then continue through the remarkable scenery to Masada, which is situated right on an isolated cliff in the Judean Desert and declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Ascend by cable car to the fortress, which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations, King Herod’s palace, the synagogue, bathhouse and much more. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit as if weather permits it’s possible to “float” on the salty, mineral rich, water.

 

Tuesday – Jerusalem
Start the day at Mt’ Scopus. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem. The holy city for each of the world’s three great religions – Christianity, Judaism and Islam – Jerusalem occupies a unique place in the world. Your tour includes the Mount of Olives, a stop at the site where Jesus first gave the Lord’s Prayer, and the Garden of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed Jesus. In the Old City you’ll see the Western Wall and the actual site of the Second Temple, the Temple Mount.

Walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. To the southwest, just outside the Old City, is Mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Return to hotel.

 

Wednesday – Jerusalem
Today’s tour includes Yad Vashem the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust established in 1953, located on the foot of Mt. Herzel.Enjoy Ein Karem; a picturesque village on the south western outskirts of Jerusalem. This small village has great significance in Christian traditions, since this is where according to the tradition John the Baptist was born.

Visit the Israel Museum with a detailed model of Jerusalem from the time of the Second Temple and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Drive by the Knesset (House of Parliament) and the campus of Hebrew University.

If situation permitting, we might visit Bethlehem to see Rachel’s Tomb and the Church of the Nativity. Back to your hotel for overnight.

 

Thursday – Jerusalem
We have reached our final day on this tour. We will take you back to the airport for your flight back home or extend your tour to the kingdom of Jordan and/or Egypt

Sunday Eilat – Petra – Eilat

After breakfast leave Eilat-Israel, cross the Arava border and drive to Petra through the scenic Jordanian desert and the Wadi Rum area. Enter the Rose City of Petra through the Siq, .a narrow passage through the mountains that has inspired people for centuries. Up to the treasury which suddenly appears at the end of the gorge, leaving the visitors breath-taken by its size, color and beauty.

Continue into the heart of this ancient city carved into the mountains, passing hundreds of tombs and monuments and a spectacular Amphitheatre, which once held 3,000 spectators. Stop for a sit-down lunch, followed by a visit to Moses Spring before leaving Wadi Moussa - the new town of Petra. Drive to Aqaba for a short city tour, return to the Arava border and back to Eilat for overnight*.

 

Monday Eilat-Tel Aviv
Breakfast, own arrival to domestic airport for departure flight to Tel Aviv (longer stay upon request).

Drive from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to the border crossing procedures to enter Jordan. proceed to Jerash - city of the Decapolis, located about 45Km North of Amman in the fertile heights of the Gilad, visit the ancient Roman city with colonnaded streets, the baths and the hill of the top Temple etc. Then drive to Amman for a city tour of the Jordanian Capital.Overnight in Amman



Monday: Amman - Petra
After early breakfast, leave the hotel and travel south on the road to Wadi Musa. Then on horseback to the "Siq" (canyon) and then on foot to Petra known as "Sela Edom" or red rock city, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans from 3rd century B.C. to 2ndCentury A.D. Visit the most interesting monuments, such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (a tomb of a Nabatean king) then the field of tombs, obelisks, the altar, (Al Madhbah) from this point you can view the whole of the rock city, then back to Wadi Musa village for overnight.

 

Tuesday: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo – Jerusalem/Tel Aviv
Drive to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holyland and ruins of historical sites. Continue about 10Kms. to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From there you will see the Jordan Valley, Jericho Dead Sea, etc. Visit the remains of a Byzantine church with a mosaic floor, and then drive to the border and to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.

Thursday: Sheikh Hussein or Allenby Bridge - Jerash - Amman.
Drive from Tel Aviv - Jerusalem to the border. After border crossing procedures to enter Jordan. Drive to Jerash - City of the Decapolis, located about 45Kms north of Amman in the fertile heights of Gilead. Visit Roman city with colonnaded streets, the ancient heater, the baths and the hill top temple, the triumphal arch etc. Then drive to Amman for a City tour of the Jordanian Capital. Overnight in Amma.

 

Friday: Amman - Madaba - Mt Nebo - Shobak- Petra
After breakfast drive to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy land & ruins of historical sites. Continue about 10Km, to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From there you will see the Jordan Valley, Jericho, Dead Sea etc. visit the remains of the Byzantine church with a mosaic floor, proceed via the crusaders castle - Shobak, to Wadi Mussa, the modern village of Petra for overnight.

 

Saturday: Petra - Amman
After breakfast, leave the hotel and ride on ahorseback to the "Siq" (Canyon). From there on foot to Petra known as "Sela Edom" or red rock city, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans from 3rd Century BC to 2ndCentury AD. Visit the most Interesting carved monuments such as the Treasure (El Khazneh - a thomb of a Nabatean king) then the field of tombs, obelisks, the altar etc. From this point you can view the whole of the rock city. After the visit leave Petra and drive back to Amman.

 

Sunday Amman - Allenby Bridge – Jerusalem / Tel Aviv
After breakfast, leave the hotel and drive to Allenby Bridge. Cross the Jordan River and drive back toJerusalem and Tel Aviv.
