Because of its proximity to Tel Aviv and its location within the metropolitan area of Tel Aviv, Ben-Gurion International Airport is often referred to as Tel Aviv International Airport, and it’s located on Highway 1, the main Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Highway, accessible by car or public transportation from Israel’s main cities.
